About NICK CORNETT
Nick Cornett’s journey in the world of physical therapy began with a passion for understanding the human body and helping others lead healthier, more active lives. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University in Athens, he pursued his Master’s in Physical Therapy (MPT) from Wheeling University, graduating in 1997. Over the next 25 years, Nick honed his skills and developed a diverse range of expertise in treating orthopedic conditions in various physical therapy settings.
Nick’s approach is grounded in a blend of extensive training and practical experience. He is certified in Dry Needling through the Integrative Dry Needling Institute, and has mastered other therapeutic techniques such as instrument-assisted soft tissue massage, cupping therapy, and manual therapy. His certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) adds another layer of proficiency, enabling him to focus on improving athletic performance as well as recovery.
One of Nick’s standout certifications comes from the Titleist Performance Institute, where he learned to evaluate golfers’ posture and biomechanics. This certification allows him to tailor his treatments to improve golfers’ performance, while also addressing injury prevention and recovery.
At the heart of Nick’s practice is his commitment to personalized care. He takes pride in offering one-on-one attention to each client, fostering a positive and supportive environment. With a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, Nick uses a combination of hands-on techniques and individualized care plans to help his clients reduce pain, restore movement, and ultimately lead healthier, more active lives.
Now, Nick will be offering specialized dry needling services along with other manual therapy techniques like cupping and instrument-assisted soft tissue massage at ThrIVe Wheeling. His approach is designed to address each client’s unique needs, helping them recover faster, move better, and feel their best.
Nick (Bubba to his grandkids) is from Saint Clairsville, OH and resides there with his wife Christy. He enjoys cycling, golfing, and various workout regimens. His current favorite “clients” are his 5 grandchildren who frequently do a variety of obstacle courses (fun exercising) in what they refer to as “Bubba’s gym”.
