Can anyone EMsella?
You should not EMsella if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, defribillator, or copper IUD.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. EMsella is sold in a series of 6 sessions, over 3 weeks. All new EMsella clients will purchase a 6-visit package to complete the series. Maintenance sessions are required approximately every 6 months. Maintenance sessions can be purchased individually or in a package.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Wear comfy clothes without metal. You can bring a book or magazine to read. You will not be able to use electronic devices during your session.
How long does it really take?
For your first session, you’ll meet with a member of our team. Plan on a 45 minute visit for your first session.
For the rest of your sessions, you’ll be in and out in about 30 minutes.
Is it medically proven to help me?
Yes. There are several published studies that prove the benefits of EMsella.
Are there any negative side-effects?
You may notice light menstrual-type cramps after your session. After all, you are working muscles that are not currently in shape. You should not find the cramps severe enough to interfere with your everyday life.
You may also notice an increase in urinary leakage for 24 hours or so following a session, as fatigued muscles recover. Please plan accordingly.
Can I use the EMsella chair while I'm on my period?
No. We should cancel your appointment, if you are on your menstrual cycle. We can resume sessions when you are off your cycle.
Does it work for everyone?
It’s very likely, that if you have a weakened pelvic floor, you will benefit from EMsella.
Is it private? What do I wear?
It is semi-private. You’ll remain fully clothed. Wear comfy clothes with no metal on your pants. Underwire bras are completely fine.
What will it be like for me?
You’ll spend a few minutes seated on the chair, getting into position. When you are ready, the session will begin. You’ll feel a series of deep vibration cycles that force a rapid contraction of your pelvic floor muscles. There are periods of lactic-acid purging cycles, as well, to minimize muscle fatigue.
You’ll go on about your day after each session. You may experience mild cramping or increased leakage in the 24 hours after your session, especially in the beginning of your series.
What does EMsella cost?
As the ONLY non-invasive, non-surgical, fully-clothed FDA-approved treatment for urinary incontinence, you’ll be pleased to know that there are NO hefty doctor fees, no down-time, and no anesthesia. You can go on about your day, after every session!
That said – the EMsella chair uses magnetic/MRI-technology to create 11,500 muscle contractions, in only 28 minutes.
Every client will need 6 sessions, over 3 weeks, then ONE maintenance session every 6 months or so.
The series of 6 is sold as a package. The cost is $2,600. plus tax.
Maintenance sessions are currently priced at $325 each for package holders.
