Say hello to Macie Johnson, our rockstar aesthetician who’s all about making you glow—inside and out! A proud John Marshall High School grad (Class of 2020), Macie kicked off her journey in healthcare through the CNA CTE program. She then dove into Exercise Physiology at WVU in 2020, followed by nursing studies at Fayetteville Tech in 2021, before finding her true calling in aesthetics at Cortiva Institute in 2023.

With a powerhouse background in healthcare, Macie is a licensed CNA in WV, NC, and MD, and has worked at prestigious spots like Johns Hopkins Main Campus in Baltimore and as a treatment area trainer for Patient First. She’s also Mental Health First Aid and CPR certified, bringing a compassionate, informed touch to every client interaction.

As a licensed aesthetician in MD and WV, Macie’s expertise shines in treatments like facial cupping (certified under Michael Phelps’ massage therapist, James Earley, LMT), body sculpting, and advanced techniques using galvanic, microcurrent, and LED light therapy.

Macie’s unique blend of healthcare and aesthetics know-how means she’s a pro at breaking down treatments in a way that’s easy to understand, empowering you to feel confident in your skincare choices. “I love helping people see what’s happening beneath the surface,” she says, “so they can make informed decisions and feel amazing.”

Since joining ThrIVe, Macie’s favorite part is the chance to keep learning and growing while witnessing the genuine care her team pours into helping clients reach their goals. When she’s not transforming your skin, you’ll find her lifting heavy weights to her favorite rock tunes, curled up with a good book, or chasing after her adorable 3-year-old mini Aussie doodle.
